The Dark Tower: And Other Stories by C.S. Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars I can say it no better than the Times Literary Supplement did in 1977: “Finished, it might have been his best.” The Dark Tower was Lewis' first attempt at a sequel to Out of the Silent Planet. And although Perelandra is an excellent novel, The Dark Tower offers a picture of what the creative mind of Lewis could accomplish. The other stories in the collection are also quite good. If someone owns this book, along with Narnia, The Space Trilogy, and Till We Have Faces, he will own all of Lewis' extant works of fiction (xvii). View all my reviews
