The Pastor: A Memoir by Eugene H. Peterson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars Peterson is a great storyteller and seems like a thoughtful pastor and writer, but this book was not one of his better ones. The stories lack a cohesive narrative unity, and Peterson often wanders off into sermonizing about stories that can easily lead a reader astray from the point. The Pastor contains some fun anecdotes, and anyone looking for a light devotional from a faithful Christian minister would likely be served by this book. View all my reviews
